nona won't stitch mixed 8bit and 16bit TIFF

Hi, the problem is that hugin expects all the input photos to have the same bit depth. You are mixing 16bit and 8bit TIFF files, so the workaround is to convert all your files to the same bitdepth before stitching.

This is fixable, but probably not before the next release.

this used to be a limitation of enblend too. the problem is solved in the new enblend. probably not a big effort to "copy&paste" the code from there to nona

Has anyone looked at this, or made any progress?
If not, I will have a look at it.
I have snooped through the enblend revision history, but not yet latched onto that particular fix.
