Bug Description

build from .be8da0221960
OSX 10.11.6
Trying to create a pano from 22 5472x3648 jpeg images.
I get to the final stitching step, and it fails when trying to combine the images because it can't find the intermediate TIFF files? I have at least 30gb of disk free, and took out all spaces in the path to the folder.
100% reproducible issue.

Until now nobody reported this problem on Mac OS. For most users it works in principle.
First deactivate the GPU remapping and try again. When nona remaps the images have a look into the directory if the intermediate images are created and report back.

Deleted all old Hugin prefs `sudo find / -name *hugin*`
reinstalled latest 2016.2.0
Made sure GPU setting was unchecked
Set default output to png instead of tiff
Enabled Assistant > Celeste
Deleted old project file
loaded images from scratch
Moved to top and switched to default "cpfind + Celeste"

Started Assistant workflow
Makes it through adding control points
Needed to Move/Drag > Straighten a 360 horizontal pano that by default aligned to a infinity-loop. (FR: in simple mode assume the user clicks "Straighten" after a successful "Align...")

Tried to change from Equirectangular to Cylindrical a few times, but first 2 times it changed back to Equirectangular. (minor bug, but odd.)

I saw something flash by in the autolayout logs, but when I try to copy-paste the window it didn't show. something about incompatible format? I will try to capture the error. Didn't seem to stop the autolayout from working.

Worked! Got a 68 mb PNG!

ok now to break it.

Enabled GPU, left everything else alone.

Noticed that the tif files weren't being generated.

You were correct - it is the GPU setting! It doesn't fall-back like the docs said. I'm on a Retina Macbook Pro 2012 - Intel HD graphics, 1.5gb card. (standard for 2012)

No remapped files are created, this still occurs with the current repository version.

Does this happen with all projects or only with certain ones? If the latter one please provide the project file.
Does it happen with CPU and GPU remapping or only in one case?
