Bug Description

Scanning starts but never completes -- the process interrupts after a couple of seconds. Repeated attempts to scan result in "device busy" response.

Installing hplip-3.11.12 made no difference -- same behaviour is present. Scanning starts and then quits after a few seconds. The device then hangs. Attaching hp-check for 3.11.12.

Or I would attach it, if launchpad wasn't broken. I posted it here: http://mricon.com/misc/hp-check.log

Hi,

Please remove the existing print queues by running in terminal "system-config-printer". Connect the printer via USB and run "hp-setup" in terminal. Once setup is done, open "xsane" and do scan. If any error comes, please attach the logs of /var/log/messages and /var/log/error_log.

(just to clarify, scanning works fine when I reboot to Windows, so the device is not faulty)
