Bug Description
I tried to install the latest version of HPLIP and it automatically detected my operating system as Linux Mint 9 (correct). However it could not download dependencies automatically. I installed the manually and HPLIP seemed to install but could not find my printer no matter what I tried. I reinstalled HPLIP but chose operating system as Ubuntu 10.04 (which my version of Linux mint is based on) and this time it was automatically able to install the optional dependencies (for faxing etc I had not needed for just printing), all went well and the printer works beautifully. I think it would make more sense for Linux Mint users to just be instructed to choose the linux distribution which theirs is based on as there is now a version of Linux Mint based on Debian as well as the one based on Ubuntu so just choosing 'Linux Mint' could have problems.
