This printer uses a proprietary protocol which is not supported by the drivers which come with Ubuntu. Click on the "HP" icon in the top bar, click on "HP Device Manager", in the menu and in the window opening then click on the icon representing your HP LaserJet Professional P1566. Then, on the right, on the "Actions" tab click the icon to install the proprietary plug-in. After following the instructions then you should be able to print.

HP Laserjet P1566 printer requires a plugin file to be installed on the host for printing. Please run "sudo hp-plugin" in terminal.

You can download latest hplip-3.11.12 from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/gethplip.html which takes care of missing plugin issue.
