Bug Description

Only if printer is started after the Suse 11.4 is started up complete, the printer will work without problems.
Otherwise the printer will be make wrong outputs.

Failure messages of the printer and HPLIP:
10.1000 Material-Memory-Failure
1806 Service Required

The problem: Printed pages with wrong characters and Non stop printing until the paper going to be empty.
The file to print is over 12 pages big and is written with libreoffice. Interesting is that PDF from LaTeX have no problem to be printed.

I have tested different drivers. I have tried to attach all log-files and a libreoffice file, but only one file to attache is possible.
"hp-check_noproblem.log" is the situation with no problems. Printer started after complete system start, but 4 error/warning are marked out.
My theory is that the memory failure of the P2055d is the main problem. When the printer is start before the system start. The printer and PC can not communicate this problem and the non functional memory of the printer will be used which cause the failures.

Otherwise on the Old HPLIP version on Suse 11.1 the problems like these show up.

Thank you for help.

Hi,

Please install the hplip-3.11.5 with hpcups enabled in the configuration . Please follow the instructions/steps provided in the link http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/novell.html to do the same.

After the installation post us the out-put of hp-check and let us know on the same.

Thanks,
Goutam Kodu
