printer does not print anything if printing in reversed order is activatet

distribution: Opensuse 11.4 (but also happend while using Suse 11.0)
printer: hp photosmart C4580,
network
driver: HP Photosmart c4500 Series hpijs, 3.11.1.19

In HP Device Manager in Print Settings I chose Output Order - "Reversed (Print last page first)".

When trying to print a Document in Acrobat Reader the Device Manager said Printing but the printer did not print anything. When chosing as Output Order "Normal (Print first page first)" printer functions normally.
