New Ubuntu-Installation today. Printer set-up as indicated. Error reported, as libcupsys2-dev could not be installed.

The package name libcupsys2-dev is changed to libcups2-dev.

Please let us know which version of Ubuntu you have installed ? and which version of hplip you are trying to install ?

Sorry i did not check the bug title. Which clearly mention distro and hplip version that you are trying to install.

Some of the cups package names are changed in the ubuntu repositories. Which is corrected in the latest release hplip-3.11.3a.

Please install the latest hplip-3.11.3a. You can download the same from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/gethplip.html.
