Error setting up fax for HP 1522nf / cyrillic

When launching hplip 3.10.9 under ubuntu 10.04, setup wizard after pressing 'Next' with a printer HP 1522nf, logs an error in the console and does not finish the setup. Printer has cyrillic settings and driver fails apparently in the fax setup. Not sure what is the workaround.
