Bug Description

I have had problems with PulseAudio for quite some time and they don't seem to go away. However one thing I have noticed is if I disable HPLIP in my startup entries, I no longer have a problem.

What happens is I login to Ubuntu... the login sounds starts to play and then gets cut off when the HPLIP icon appears (when HPLIP loads).

Note that is doesn't happen every time I login but every now and again. The only way to test would be to login to Ubuntu lots of times and see does it happen. Click on the sound icon and click on "Sound Preferences". If you get the same PulseAudio error message as my screenshot then this bug can be confirmed.

INFO:
Distro: Ubuntu 10.10 64bit
HPLIP: Version 3.10.6 (installed from Ubuntu Software Center)

Ok after some more investigation it seems like HPLIP may not be the problem. I recommend somebody to do a small bit of testing... if its not confirmed by anyone then close this bug.
