HP C5280 doesn't print after upgrading HPLIP

After installing Ubuntu 9.04 my printer HP C5280 worked properly; I decided to install HPLIP Software driver 3.9.6 because it enables scaning documents (not only printing); After installing this software printing of documents doesn't work properly. After issuing print command selected document is send to printer and printing starts but after about 5 seconds it stops and an error message is being printed on the sheet of paper stating: "Unable to open the initial device, quitting" I tried to perform auto diagnostic feature but it also didn't solve the problem.
