Bug Description

Hi, i have problems with grayscale on HP p1005.
Linux Maximiliano 2.6.26-2-686 #1 SMP Thu Mar 26 01:08:11 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

Version: 3.9.2

The grayscale have really bad quality, when i try with documents in B&W this have a lots of white space, example a line... it's half black and half white.... when that need to be only black.... i print a document of text only and give me that i tell you...

Now, when i install my printer with HPLIP, this one install 2 printers, the same printers with 2 differents drivers... this is normal?

I agree with this.
steps to reproduce for a good example of bad gray scale
make a spreadsheet in openoffice.
format some numbers to be red and some to be black
print it
the red numbers are barely visible.
before I started using hplip the grayscale was much better.

PPD Description: HP LaserJet p1005 hpijs, 3.9.2
ubuntu 9.04
