Bug Description
Hello-
I am working on bnc#462048 and I would appreciate input from the hplip developers. It seems that turning the BIDIR quirk on in the usblp driver for this printer "fixed" this issue but I would like to see if there is some way that hplip could fix this issue without taking such a brute force method.

Thanks,

Update: It seems that hpijs is claiming the device, then getting it confused somehow.
