Bug Description

Support PJL, enabling CUPS to show pretty status messages on printer’s display while printing.

Many (all?) other PPDs probably could be patched identically, but I’m only able to test this one.

I think this should be fixed by the HPLIP developers at HP. They are updating their PPDs on OpenPrinting frequently, so it is not good to patch them. There are perhaps also some HP printers which do not understand PJL, so adding PJL stuff to all PPDs can break things.

Someone of the HPLIP developers can look into this? Thank you.

HP PPDs in foomatic-db are the same as the ones in HPLIP. So we have to wait for HPLIP before we can fix the problem in foomatic-db.

These PPD files are not in foomatic-db any more, closing foomatic-db task. HPLIP is now the exclusive supplier for these PPDs in Ubuntu.
