Bug Description
This is a small usability issue in the hp-toolbox: I have the HP Color LaserJet 3600 for which a proprietary plug-in is available. The plug-in I have already installed before I have updated to HPLIP 2.8.6. In the new hp-toolbox there is a new icon for downloading the plug-in. I have clicked on it and I got immediately asked for the password. I entered the password and after that nothing happens.
What I expect is the following:
1. User clicks on icon
2. hp-toolbox checks whether up-to-date version of plug-in is already there. If yes, show a message window telling that everything is OK and no installation or update is needed.
3. If the plug-in is not yet installed or if the version on the server is newer, open a message window asking the user whether he wants to install/upgrade and that he will need root/admin access.
4. Ask the user for the password. After correct input download and install with an appropriate progress window and a final message about success or failure. If the user does not enter the correct password, inform him correctly, too.
We are going to be fixing this in a future release.
Thanks for your bug report.
