Bug Description

Upgraded to ubuntu 22.04, my HP4050n prints one page and then another page with error:

ERROR:
typecheck
OFFENDING COMMAND:
idiv
STACK
50000
--nonstringval--
--nonstringval--
-mark-
-mark-
-mark-
-mark-

This happens regardless of the program I use to print. Happens on multiple documents. The first page printed looks OK.

Running hp-doctor produces and error:

HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.21.12)

Some more details:
- printer HP LaserJet 4050n connected with a JetDirect card, printing over the network
- printer has duplex unit and 64MB RAM installed

Printer used to work fine, prior to 22.04 upgrade. Printer works fine from a different computer with Mac OS.

Same issue for me with an HP Laserjet 5000n and Postscript driver.
The HP website says now that 22.04 is supported.

I have solved the problem for A4 paper by choosing a different driver: hpcups 3.21.12. It works without error but A3 size isn’t available (and A2 is) !

Last driver : Foomatic/Postscript ; same issue than first.

I reached to print with A3 paper size without issue. I modified the ppd file of the driver "HP LaserJet 5000 Series pcl3, hpcups 3.21.12" for my printer.
I added the A3 size in different places of the file and, maybe it's mandatory, the exact size of the file on the last line.
My file attached, if it can be useful…
