Bug Description
HP DeskJet Ink 3835 (and probably any other HP DeskJet scanner or any other HP scanner at all) is not able to scan without JPEG ugly artifacts in GNU/Linux.
Even if users selects PNG or any other lossless format - the actual image is disturbed with JPEG-type compression on driver's level.
It happens in any GNU/Linux distribution. Maybe there is not such issue on Windows? I don't know, you tell me.
So, in 2021 it is insane that HP does not allow to scan an image without software artifacts and image distortions that are easily noticeable with a naked eye, especially on printed text.
Dear developers of HP please spend some time to allow users to get what they paid for - simply scanning images without artifacts.
HP is rather open to GNU/Linux and I hope it will continue by fixing this issue that exists for many years. The internet is full of complains on exactly this problem since at least 2013.
