HP 8610 HPLip 3.19.5 can't print Filter Failed

Bug Description

I downloaded the newest firmware updates for the printer. I then updated my HPLIP with the latest from the site. I cannot print from anything but the web interface. All application prints fail with "Idle - Filter failed".
The /var/log/cups/error_log points to an error with the hpcups raster filter.

I won't be able to do that now for another 4 weeks. But if I recall, I had
the latest installed as I had initially tried the latest, then rolled back,
then reinstalled the latest again. I guess I didn't have it in the bug
report?
