Bug Description

when my printer comes up hp 3510 it gives me hp 3810 and it does not work.

Hello Jacqueline,

You really haven't given a lot for us to go on. Would you say what your printer is exactly. Also give the OS you are using and whether it is on USB or on the network.

operating system is linxus on a USB drive, and the printer is hp deskjet
3510 that will not work on the drivers for Windows. I downloaded hplip
drivers 3.16.7.run and it didn't work.

We are, I think, not understanding each other. "linxus" doesn't make sense to me.

"OS" is operating system. My Linux OS is Debian. Is yours the same or is it Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch Linux etc?

When I asked "whether it is on USB or on the network" I meant - is trhe printer connected by USB to a computer or not?

Not knowing the distribution and its version is a drawback. Assuming it is something recent:

Get its URI with 'driverless' and substitute in 'lpadmin -p 3510 -v URI -E -m everywhere'. Print to to 3510.
