"Scan to PC" and "Scan from PC"

 * Scan to PC: The scan is initiated from the printer/scanner device. Not available via HPLIP, AFAIK.
 * Scan from PC: The scan is initiated from the PC using using a SANE compatible frontend.

The distinction between these two terms is useful. After all, they refer to two different methods which require different technical solutions.

The fifth column of the table at

https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/supported_devices/index

is headed "Scan to PC. I would suggest this be changed to "Scan from PC". Footnote 3 would then fit quite nicely with the heading.

Hi Brian,

The description on this field 'Scan to PC' is available at the bottom of the same page by clicking on the affix number 3 next to scan to PC. The note explains the scan is initiated from PC using the sane compatible software. Let us know if you still prefer the field name to be changed in the page which we will discuss with the team and update.

I agree that affix number 3 makes it clear that "Scan to PC" means that the scan is initiated from the PC. So surely the field should say "Scan from PC"?

"Scan to PC" is a process which is initiated from the front panel of a printer, not from the computer. The manual for my Envy 4502 has:

 > You can initiate a scan from the control panel of the printer or from your
 > computer. Scan from the control panel if you want to quickly scan one page
 > to an image file. Scan from your computer if you want to scan multiple pages
 > into one file, define the file form at of the scan, or make adjustments to
 > the scanned image.

Note the use of "from" rather than "to".

I'd still like the field to change (if it does not involve much work). It's a small documentation issue but I believe the term is more accurate and reflects what is in other HP documentation.
