Fax Printer does not appear, can't install

I attempted to update HPLIP, fax printer did not appear, I can't install it.

I can print to paper.

I can now see a fax icon, but attempts to use it show rendering completed, but it will not display the sending function, status held.

hplip Device Manager won't appear, but no error message.

Now Device Manger will display ! I made no further changes to cause this.

I get error - hpfax crashed with FileNotFounndError in _main_:[Errno2] No such file or directory:'/home/roger/.hplip/hp_fax-pipe-171'
