Bug Description

On Kubuntu 17.04, with hplip 3.16.11 and recent sane (from sane git via the ubuntu sane ppa), trying to scan from an HP 6950 via xsane lets the user only select a subset of the features of the device.

Specifically:

The sole resolutions being supported are 75, 150, 200 and 300 dpi, when the device should be capable of 600 and 1200 dpi too.

It seems to be impossible to control the ADF to do automatic duplex.

As a matter of fact, the resolutions seems to be limited to the 4 values above only when the ADF mode is selected. In flatbed mode, you get the full set of options for the resolution.

I am also getting the impression that the ADF is uncapable of automatic duplex at all on this model and that manual software supported duplex is available on some operating systems. It is quite unfortunate that the all in one is advertised on amazon as capable of "ADF with automatic duplex" ("ADF con fronte retro automatico") in the Italian Amazon site.

Might not be a bug after all, rather a newer "all in one" (the 6950) having a limit on the resolutions in ADF mode, that was not there in previous generation devices.
