Bug Description

Hello, I'm Using Ubuntu 16.04.

I installed HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 with HPLIP 3.16.10.
Printing and scanning are working fine but I cannot choose tray 1 or 2. Tray #1 comes by default.

Does the problem come from my installation? Do you think you could help?

After over 2 weeks, no one could help in the Question/Answer part. But I still have the problem and I believe this is a (small) bug. I upgraded to Ubuntu 16.10 and HPLIP 3.16.11). No change.

Is there any hope, this issue would be fixed with a future update of HPLIP?

Please replace the existing PPD with the attached PPD at /hplip-3.16.X/ppd/hpcups.

Modifications will be part of the next release of HPLIP.

Contrary to status change, this does not appear to be changed in release. Release 3.17.4 and 3.17.6 still contain the old, single-input-try PPD for the Officejet Pro 7740 series.

Still broken in 3.17.7. Whereever the fix said to have been committed on 2017-03-04 went, it's not in the releases.

Same here. xubuntu 16.04, hplip 3.17.10, no tray choice. I guess the purpose of the dual tray is to have both trays with different paper formats online at the same time. At the moment this is not usable on the 7740.
