Bug Description

Dear all,

As recommended by HP to use the printers HP LaserJet Professionnal M212nf and Coloro LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw, we've installed HPLIP 3.15.11 on our RH 6.3 using USB.

It works perfectly with an old HP LaserJet 2300 series. But with the 2 other printers, no way to print something, neither the test page.

Everything seems fine, the printers are recognized into the printers manager tool. The manufacturer and model field says : "HP LaserJet Professionnal m212nf MFP hpijs, 3.14.6, requires proprietary plugin". The "Print test page" is active but when we click on it nothing happens. In despite of, we see the achived task in the tasks list. Same issue with a normal user or with the root.

Is there an hp-doctor for Linux ? Where to find it ?

Thanks. Best regards.

Hello,

Can you try below steps?

1) Install HPLIP again by following instructions from
    http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/install/index.html (Auto installer)
   or
http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/redhatenterprise.html (Manual installation, if auto installer does not work)

2) Install Plugin with following command.

     hp-plugin

3) Setup print queue using below command.

     hp-setup

Please paste the output of "hp-check -t" command here, if above steps do not work.
