Bug Description

Printing from a browser like Firefox, Konqueror or others and sometimes even printing from LibreOffice the printer starts to process the data after 45 seconds and takes almost 1 minute to finish the job.

When I print the same content to a PDF-file and send this PDF from Acrobat Reader or Okular to the printer, it starts to process the data and the job is finished within 12 seconds. Even JPEGS with a file size of 50MB and more are finished within seconds.

The Printer is connected via "hp:/net/..." to the server.
When connecting the printer via "IPP" the performance is really bad. The time to finish a job is tripled (every page takes almost 3 minutes). The printer is up and NOT in standby mode.
The official maximum print speed of the M880 (black) is 45ppm. The speed is never even touched.

hp-doctor shows no errors. The version of HPLIP is 3.15.9 provided by HP. It doesn't matter if we use the original lib or the library provided by Fedora (3.14.10-3.fc20 x86_64).

Hi,

there is one thing that could be interesting. Sometimes when the print job is done the printer prints an extra page with the output:

ERROR:
typecheck
OFFENDING COMMAND:
known
