Bug Description

On Lubuntu 14.04, when I executed from terminal hp-upgrade the script failed to download the .run file.
The error shown is the following:

Downloading hplip-3.15.6.run file..... Please wait.
error: I/O Error: No such file or directory
Download in progress..........
error: Failed to download /home/nomemohes/Downloads/hplip-3.15.6.run file.
error: file not found

The problem is that my OS default language is spanish and Downloads folder doesn't exists under my home (in spanish is named Descargas).

The solution was pretty easy: I created a temp dir in my home called Downloads and now the hp-ugrade script is working.
I think a simple fix will deal with the folder non existence in the future.

Hi Sebastián Vanrell,

Can you please tell us from which version of HPLIP, 'hp-upgrade' is executed. ie. the currently installed version of HPLIP.

We fixed this issue in HPLIP-3.15.2 version. If your installed version is older than this, the issue is expected.

Please refer, https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1328074 for details.

Hi Ani,

I was upgrading from 3.15.2 to 3.15.6.
Does 3.15.2 incorporate the fix?

Cheers,
Sebastián

Hi Sebastian,

There was a typo in my previous comment(#1). This fix was incorporated in HPLIP-3.15.4 version.
