Black and white printing no more available

I used to use an option in hplip to print only in grey, or black and white.
Since I updated to ubuntu utopic with hplip 3.14.6, this option does not appear. I have the printer PSC1213

To be more specifc, on hplip 3.14.3 settings, I had a general section where I could select print quality -> grayscale :

This section disapeared on my 3.14.6 version with the same printer

Thank you for providing hp-check output.

Please go to http://localhost:631/printers/ cups web interface and click on the queue name and go to Administration choose "Set Default Options". Select Print Quality as "Normal GrayScale" and Installed Cartridge as "Black Only" and click on "Set Default Option" Button at the bottom.

Now print the file and check if you are able to print in grayscale.

Let us know if still issue facing the same issue.

I saw the screenshot. Now i have better understanding of the problem you are facing. Yes, this issue is coming from hp-toolbox print settings in Ubuntu 14.10 beta . We will analyse this issue.

Changing the setting with cups web interface worked.
Thanks a lot for the workaround while hp-toolbox has this issue.
