ENTER ROOT/SUPERUSER PASSWORD section stays with /-\- thing no any forward despite entering su pwd

Hi Murat,

Are you using non English locale OS? Let us know OS details.

If it is not non English locale OS. Some modification may require. Please follow below steps.

1) run su command in terminal
  $ su
  --> displays password equivalent string.

2) go to HPLIP source directory
   e.g.
  $ cd ~/Downloads/hplip-3.14.3

3) Open base/utils.py file
  $ gedit base/utils.py
  --> search for "EXPECT_WORD_LIST" and few line below (around line no. 124), you will find " "Lösenord", #sv".
  --> added "su" command displayed passowrd string below this line.
  --> save ad exit

4) run install.py file
  $ python ./install.py

Please send us the following command output, to support this non English OS.
   $ su

Thanks for your answer. I am using english version 7.4 debian. I followed manual install steps and everything is ok.
