Hp laserjet 1018 doesn't print

Hi,

i have a mageia 3 i586 and an Hp laserjet 1018. since i've installed the new distro i've noticed i should install the firmware each time i booted the system or recovered it from hibernation (see https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10072). these days i made some other tests and now it doesn't print anymore. can you help me to fix this issue? thanks

i changed the driver to oo2zjs-z1 instead of hpcups and now it works. it persists the firmware problem, but i will open another bug.

i've discovered that driver isn't produced by the HP but it's developed by an indipendent developer. so, hoping to have a official driver working, the problem still persists.

Can you try installing latest hplip 3.13.11 and please follow the instructions provided @ http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/mandriva.html for installation.

it works, probably mageia doesn't install all the necessary dependencies of hplip. installing all the dependencies linked in the website and using the last hplip retrieved from the official website i don't have problems... can you check if all the dependencies are correct? thanks
