Bug Description
My system is a Fedora 17. The printer is a HP LaserJet 1018, connected with USB.
Just upgraded to hplip 3.13.10. When the printer is switched on, I am prompted to install the required plugin.
However, it just hangs when I click "next".
Issuing "ps x" in a terminal window, I notice one row stating " Z 0:00 [python] <defunct>".
The "hp-doctor" notices that the plugin is not installed. Chosing "d" for "Download plugin from HP (recommended)".
It also hangs with "Downloading plugin: [\ ] 0%".
Best regards,

Hi,
hp-plugin command tries to download the plugin binary from www.openprintin g.org and this server is down so after some retries downloads from "http:// hplipopensource .com/hplip- web/plugin/ hplip-3. 13.10-plugin. run". Please follow below steps.
$ sudo hp-plugin -g
--> wait for some time to try 1st from www.openprintin g.org (it fails) and later downloads from hplipopensource .com.
(or)
$ wget http:// hplipopensource .com/hplip- web/plugin/ hplip-3. 13.10-plugin. run
--> downloads plugin to loacal system
$ sudo hp-plugin -g
--> select 2nd option to use local downloaded file.
Thanks & Regards,
