Hi Ruchir,

Can you please run command : su -c " hp-plugin -i -g " in terminal and run it till you see the error message. And post us the complete terminal output here for analysis.

Hi Ruchir,

I checked the attached debug output of hp-plugin command and i did not find any error message related to plugin installation failure.

Can you please confirm on this issue because we are not able to reproduce the same in our lab.

Can you re-try adding your printer using command : hp-setup

Thanks,
Goutam

Hi Ruchir,

Can you please check whether "/var/lib/hp" directory exists or not?

--> if not exists, please create "/var/lib/hp" from root user and re-install plugin.
$ su -c "mkdir /var/lib/hp"
$ su -c "hp-plugin"

--> if exists, Please post "/var/lib/hp/hplip.state" file content here o understand further.

Thanks & Regards,
Amarnath

Hi Ruchir,

From logs looks like everything is fine.. Can you please provide "hp-setup -g" log to analyse further..
Whether "hplip" folder exists in "/usr/local/share" and "/usr/share" both folders?

if exists in both places, remove the "/usr/local/share"

Thanks & Regards,
Amarnath
