Bug Description

Slackware 14.0 64-bit, kernel 3.2.29 #2 SMP, hplip-3.12.10a. Running Xfce 4.10. HP Device Manager, Check and Notify HPLIP updates is unchecked. Two prints, HP Business Inket 2280th (Ethernet) and Photosmart C4680 both work just fine.

The zombie dies when X does (I use startx to launch and "log out" to end X sessions).

Something wicked this way comes?

This is not caused by openSUSE.

I use HPLIP 3.12.11 on one of my workstations
but there exists no hp-upgrade process.
