Unable to open device

Bug Description

When I click on "view printer and device information" I get an error about "Unable to open device hp:/usb/Deskjet_F300_series?serial=CN685JG17RO4VQ." however with some trouble I can print documents and I see how full the ink is etc. I have a few problems with hplip saying the ink cartridges are not installed and I need to reboot the printer a few times, may be hardware or soft ware, also there is a huge delay in print jobs at times. My printer is an HP Deskjet f335 All-IN-ONE. I am unaware if this is a security issue.

also I am running Lubuntu 12.04 and have installed hplip with sudo apt-get build-dep.
