Bug Description
hplip 3.12.9 is installed on CentOS 5.8.
However, we cannot install an HP LaserJet P1102w, which requires a plugin. The plugin will download bot not install. The log mentions 15 packages that are not installed or which are obsolete, but some of the are installed (e.g. python-devel) and others are NOT CentOS/Red Hat packages at all (e.g. cups-ddk). The logs are attached.
Please refer to our original question #208196. So far we have not received any guidance as to what is causing the problem.
The printer cannot be tested, as it will not install. It does function just fine under Mac OS X 10.8
Thank you

Hi David,
Can you retry installing hplip-3.12.9 using the instructions provided at http:// hplipopensource .com/hplip- web/install/ manual/ distros/ centos. html
Delete the existing print queues in "system- config- printer" and re setup the device using "hp-setup -g" and paste its terminal output here.
To install plugin run command:
su -c" hp-plugin -i -g"
in terminal and paste its output here if you are seeing issue with plugin install.
Thanks,
goutam
