printing in fedora 17

I can not install my network printer on Fedora 17. I tried with this command as root user :"usermod -a -G lp,sy" but it tells me that the user does not exist. This is an HP DeskJet 6943 Printer.

Hi,

Please try "usermod -a -G lp,sys <username>"
e.g. If username is indy, please try following command as root user

$ usermod -a -G lp,sys indy

Note:- it is advised to use HPLIP from non-root user.
