Just to confirm, by branding we mean the logo found at the top of the sidebar? It might also improve the athletic if the logo space consistently moves the "User Dashboard" and "System Dashboard" links to the right out of the line of the sidebar, per the attachment.

Yep. This is just to prevent logo replacement from easily breaking the layout.

    Bug #884453
    Ensured branding is contained and can't escape sidebar space/break layout by adding
    a CSS style #main_nav h1. This bounds the branding area and disables overflow.
    Additionally padding ot the right is adjuested moving the topbar navigation in line
    with the sidebars righthand side for asthetics.
