Bug Description
When configuring keystone to an LDAP backend the user IDs are given the DN of the object. This is OK because they are unique.
When configuring the project user membership in Horizon, this becomes a problem. The usernames given by LDAP contain spaces and parenthesis in the DN which is not ideal but seems to be the only way to go. This becomes a problem for Horizon as it seems it does not know how to escape these characters. When adding the user to the project, it accepts with no visual problems, but the user never gets added to the project.
The problem can be mediated by assigning the role via command-line/API.
