Interface status is not updated automatically

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create network.
2. Create router.
3. Add netowrk interface to router (a. Navigate to router details page b. click "Add Interface" c. use network created in p.1)

Actual Result:
Interface status on router details page is "DOWN" until I manually refresh page.

Expected result:
Interface status on router details page should be automatically updated (due to consistency with other elenments statuses in horizon).

I could see this being a nice update. I would expect the status to be in some sort of "Creating" or "Adding" state before it comes up. Similar to when an instance is launched.

This probably should depend on https://blueprints.launchpad.net/horizon/+spec/realtime-communication to avoid undue amounts of polling.

Given the realtime communication work seems to be languishing, would it be OK to take the standard polling approach to get this fixed?
