Bug Description

Make the "Limit" column fields editable instead of through the 'Update Defaults' modal because the modal could get very long and is not user friendly.

Another example of a very long modal window is Admin > Projects, click on 'Edit Project' action then go to Quota tab. This is very long.

We are currently using the window scroll to move within the modal dialog. I'm not sure if having two scrolls would improve the user experience.

Hi Victoria,

I agree with you that having 2 scrolls wouldn't really be all that useful.

However,I think a modal window should be contained within a standard screen.

I think it would be nice to have those fields editable on the table itself, like in the Admin > Project table. Not sure what other people would say about it though. :)

I agree, that is a great idea Cindy.

Hi Cindy,

Sounds great! Maybe at the beginning there wasn't so much information to display and the modals were more appropriate. I agree that having more space would improve user experience.

Thanks!

I really like the idea of editable fields in the table too. Another idea would be to have a wider modal in certain cases that allows for 2 or 3 columns of fields so that there isn't too much scrolling for the user.

Marking as invalid, since the edit dialog for this ( Admin / System / Defaults > Update Defaults) is not overly long in Pike (it only has 11 fields on it).
