No expenses appear in the budget report

Reproduced in 4.0.4 on Ubuntu 09.04 and 4.1 (getdeb) on Ubuntu 09.10 or MS Windows Vista for me.

I tried to build a new file from scratch with the simplest setup (1 account, 1 transaction, 1 category, see attachment) to ensure that my personal file (created from grisbi imports) was not buggy, but the expenses remain empty.

However, expenses are shown correctly in the example.xhb file from http://homebank.free.fr/public/example_file.tar.gz.

Is there something I do wrong? I just set amounts in the budget dialog for given categories and display the budget report. Validating transactions does not seem to change anything to the results, in my files or in the example file... Thanks for your help on this!
