Bug Description
Using the Flatpak, I tried the env var GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 but it didnt change anything. Having portals enabled would be helpful.
Portals allow filesystem access by user choice and are a crucial part of sandboxing.

This happens on any GNU/Linux Distro with the current latest version. It is not only about the Flatpak, as native apps can benefit from the portal as well, for example on other desktops than GNOME.

HomeBank is not yet running GTK4.
I an not owner of this flatpack repository, which to me is useless for an open source software where source are available.
