Bug Description

I have more than 300 lines in the "Manage Assignments" window. Sometimes, I find that the "search condition" has to be reformulated, and it becomes increasingly difficult to find the line to correct.

Thank you. I was not aware of the quick search feature. I will refer to the "Tips&Tricks" page in the future.

I find that quick search in "Manage Assignments" only works if I type from the beginning of search criteria. If I type ".*port", it takes me to entry 267, which is ".*portugalia.*". That's very good, but not always helpful. Take a look at the the following search condition I have:

.*p.*s.*10261.*

This is to detect car insurance payments in the memo field, that can be in one of the following 4 forms:

4304439-46-pgs-10261-306093362
Pag.serv. 10261 993712722
Pag servicos 10261-008758705
Pag servicos *6177 10261-010187370

What I would love to would be to search for "10261".

There's another alternative that I hope you find much better, that would be to also show columns for Payee and Category, allowing to sort by them. That way, I could review my assignments and detect if I had duplicated rules, and what the rules are so that I can fix them when a new MEMO pattern shows up.

I have to say I love your software. Thank you for your good work.

In https://bugs.launchpad.net/homebank/+bug/1958039, the feature suggestion is for being able to sort by rule number or search pattern. Here I suggest sorting also by payee and category.

OK my thinking is to change this dialog that way:
- add 2 more columns: payee, category
- enable sort on every column
- add a permanent search input, available with ctrl+f and reset with esc

Nevertheless, keeping the DnD when the sorting column is not on # ascending or search is active will probably not be possible.

For that see https://bugs.launchpad.net/homebank/+bug/1958039
or more precisely #1974450: wish: modify assignment order by specifying its index

if adding those column makes the windows too wide
=> I will also consider moving the right part to a dedicated dialog to input rule fields, like it is done into the manage scheduled/template dialog.

The specification looks very good to me. I just don't understand what DnD is.

I got it: Drag and Drop. It really doesn't make sense when ordering is not by number (#).

I have just tested the 5.6 RC for the search feature, and I was happy to find that not only sorting by category works well, but also both moving the assignment to a specific position and searching for any pattern are fully functional. Great! Thank you.
