Bug Description

Basically my bank reports credit card spending as a income but I want it to report as expense so that it discounts from my total. At the moment I have to open each transaction and toggle it individually. Would it be possible to add a button to the transactions view where I could select multiple transactions in the list and toggle them between income and expense e.g. positive to negative? This would save me so much time!

Many thanks for your wonderful software.

I do think, your bank do it right a cc account expense are income, so far I know.
Probably a choice to change amount sign at import would be better ?

Yes I know that it's technically right but my personal accounting system works on me deducting my sirens on my credit card from my risk so that I know even though I still have the money until it's paid off in reality it has ashtray been spent. I do like your import suggestion though. If it works be possible to invert the sign when importing then that would accomplish the same thing even better than my proposed solution.

Autocorrect! Sirens = spending, risk = total, ashtray = already

this is why I disabled autocorrect :)

so your initial (fixed) text is:

Many thanks for fixing the text. This would be a wonderful thing for people like me who use this 'opposite' accounting system. I know I'm not the only one who does this and since my accounting system is basically for what helps me manage my money I prefer it to not pretend I have extra cash and know what I've already spend each week when I do my accounts!

Many thanks! Look forward to using it when 5.5 is released.

I've just tested this now in the 5.5 RC and it works nicely.

However, there is still a problem because after I invert the expense/income it then doesn't seem to check for duplicates in the account I am importing into so I then end up having to remove duplicates once I've imported them.

Maybe you need to make it call the comparison method after the invert is done? For example when I change the date format it will then compare the transactions against the ones already in the account and untick any duplicates.

Many thanks!
