Bug Description
Ubuntu MATE 19.10
Homebank 5.2.7
GTK 3.24.10
Yesterday I installed Ubuntu MATE 19.10 on a spare laptop and copied my data file from Ubuntu 18.04 to the new Homebank installation in Ubuntu MATE 19.10. Everything appeared to work correctly except that when viewing an account the icons that represent payment types were replaced by an icon that resembled the French flag.
When adding a transaction the payment type icon is also replaced by the French flag icon in the "Add transaction" dialog.
I also created a new data file but the problem remained.
Is this a bug with Ubuntu MATE or Homebank? Homebank displays these icons correctly in Ubuntu 18.04 and Ubuntu 19.10. I know that Ubuntu MATE 19.10 is still in development but I always try to help and find bugs before each Ubuntu version is released.
I've attached a screenshot that shows this problem with the "Add transaction" dialog.
this should be a problem with MATE.
homebank icons is not part of any standard set and there is no reason to display a flag, except if MATE has a bug for missing icons
under linux, it is located into /usr/share/ homebank/ * subfolders homebank/ icons/hicolor/ 16x16/status
icons for payment mode are into: /usr/share/
- check you have the icons there in you spare laptop
- try to see which icon it is with gtk inspector
