In Homebank 5.1.2's preferences for Import/Export, under OFX/QFX options, you can map the "Name" field to nothing ("Ignore"), "Memo" or "Payee", and you can map the "Memo" field to "append to info", "append to memo" and "append to payee".
What's missing in the first set of options is the ability to map the "name" field to "Info" instead of memo or payee. That would be useful because that's where my bank puts all the human-readable information like "Taxi John Doe" or "Auchan Bordeaux" or "Berlin airport hotel", "ATM #343 THE_HOOD", which I would want to put in the "info" field anyway because it's such unique information that it doesn't make sense for me to have it in the "memo" field or "payee" field (both of which autocomplete and I don't want to clutter up)
P.s.:
On that note, I'm a bit confused seeing the QIF options further below the QFX options, where you have just checkboxes for Memo: [x] Import [ ] Swap with payee... isn't that the same, just a subset of the QFX options above? If so why not regroup them and have just one set of options then? Just an idea.
the info field is devoted to get info related to paymode normally, and as such for OFX file it is coded to host check numbers.
I need to think about it.
Regarding the P.S: there are separate option for OFX and QIF because you may have different bank file that requires different setup (you can fix into the preferences).
