Sub-categories should be moveable, i.e. switch parents or become a parent itself.

Once a category is created, it cannot be moved under another category or become a parent category. A user should be permitted to move categories around in the hierarchy.

for what you want create a new target category and merge the old one to the new one with delete the old one

Ok, your trick works. But it is not intuitive (thus this ticket). I still think that having a drag and drop feature to move around categories within the dialog box would be nice.

I installed the PPA and now I have the latest version. Thank you.
