Bug Description

I have been using HomeBank for a little while now, to be sure it would match all my criteria and habits. I really love it, it makes my life a lot easier. There is one limitation though that would make it more flexible for me: having the same options when splitting a transaction than with a single transaction. Right now, the split transactions have Category/Memo/Amount. I wish I could also set Payment/Info/Payee/Status/Tags. For instance, imagine a travel report to a conference:

- David uses his credit card to pay for tolls
- Mary pays cash some food (and request reimbursement)
- I use the company credit card for everything else

This kind of report would require setting different payments, payee, etc., which is currently not possible. Right now, I use the Memo for this, but it gets lost then when I want to summarize by payee for instance (because it's not there!). Another solution could be to use one (possibly split) transaction per payee, or payment, but it will not accommodate the full range of possibilities (that would be either by payee OR by payment OR…).

Ideally, having split transactions behave just like single transactions (i.e. really the same type of object, but belonging to a higher level transaction) would be great!

Thanks for considering it!
Mathieu.

(using HomeBank 5.1.5 in Debian, just recently updated in official repository!))

I just noticed it was related to this wish: https://bugs.launchpad.net/homebank/+bug/1336079
although broadening it to all types of information available for a single transaction.
