Problem importing using OFX

Bug Description

OFX files contain lots of additional info compared to QIF files. If I could migrate from Quicken using the OFX file, it'd save a lot of time. Is this possible?

This feels like a bug to me. I can import OFX files from my bank, but I cannot import OFX files exported from Quicken with multiple years of data.

OFX import works.
As i do not have quicken, I don't know if their file conforms welle to the spec, and what you lead that it doesn't work, can you provide more details ?

At first OS and HB verion as required in introduction text when you open a bug.

Sorry for the lack of detail -- and some errors.
I'm using Windows, and HomeBank 5.0.8.

I'm exporting from Quicken using QXF format, but HomeBank can't see the files as valid files.

If this is supposed to be supported, I can mock up a new file (without all my personal info), and send it in to you.

If it's not even supposed to be supported, again, my apologies.

Hi,

If you can, yes just provide a sample file. In fact HB rely on libofx to import, so if the file fail in the real import process, I will fill in a bug to libofx project, but the detection step is handmade, so maybe something is wrong there.
But let's be sure with a small test.

Ok, I created a quick file using Quicken 2014, and exported the QFX file to
my desktop. HomeBank 5.0.8 (all on Windows) does not recognise the file to
import it.

Let me know if you need anything else from me. Sorry for the delay in
getting you the file.

Adding a sample QFX file, that HomeBank 5.0.8 does not recognise in the file selection, therefore can't be imported into HomeBank.

Your file is binary, not text, so I guess Quicken compress or something, but at last file is not readable anymore, maybe except by Quicken itself.
Try to see if you have some option to export as OFX rather than QFX, or maybe uncompressed QFX.

The only 2 export options are QIF files, or QXF, which they call the Quicken Transfer format. And QIF files lose much of the data. :(

Using HomeBank 5.1.7. It does not recognize my QFX (exported from Quicken 2017 v R15.13) file as valid. If this does not work in HomeBank, maybe the option should be removed from the menu....

It looks like QXF is a proprietary Quicken only format (looks similar to but is not the same as QFX).
Quicken exports to its proprietary QXF but does not export to QFX.
