if you compiled the 5.0.8, why is
homebank --version gives you homebank 5.0.0 ?

something must be wrong with the source you got for fedora repos.
official repos for source is homebank website, try to compile form source from there

Changed in homebank:
status: New → Incomplete

Hello Maxime,

I apologize for confusing you.

My version is correct. It is 5.0.0 as I have installed this package from
nux-dextop repo to check out whether it resolve my issue, because compiled
versions didn't work.
Earlier I have downloaded source code from Fedora repos, compiled it and
installed. Both source code versions 5.0.6 and 5.0.8 have them same issue
as described in bug report.

I have used Windows version before. Now I switched to Centos and cannot
work with homebank.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Tomasz Blaszynski

I suggest you make a deep clean of whatever you previously installed before anything else.
Use find as root into your system like
find / -name homebank

Then, get the source code from my website, compile and try again.
Suggestion also to use gdb to identify clearly the trouble:
gdb ./src/homebank after sucessfull compilation and locally use the compiled exe into ./src

also do you test with example file, and with yours, to isolate any trouble into that area
