wish: Additional filter capabilities in trend report

It would be great if it was possible to filter by payee in the trend report. Actually, it will be great to have similar filtering options to the ones in the statistics or the account (same interface will do just fine).

I know it is possible to choose a payee and have a trend for that specific payee, but I wish I could chose a "category" and still "limit the results" to only certain payees. Where I say payee one could easily think of "Tag"

FURTHER DETAILS / MOTIVATION

I administer my home economy for both me and my couple, but we make a distinction between expenses done by me for both of us, expenses done by her for both of us or expenses done by me for her or expenses done by her for me. I do not keep track of expenses that she does and that are only relevant for her. I only track shared expenses and my own expenses.

To accomplish this I take advantage of the Payee field, but I could be using the "tag" field instead.

When I want to check how certain decisions affect our expenses in certain categories, I use the trend diagram, but without additional filtering possibilities I would need to duplicate each category that is subject to be shared expense or own expense.

For example, I might have a category "sports". Activities that we do together become shared costs, but I might have my own sport activities which I pay myself. Therefore, when looking at the trend report, I would like to be able to have additional filtering options. Otherwise I would have to create duplicated categories Sports_Shared, Sports_Own so as to be able to plot the trends.

That would certainly cover what I was asking for, yes. Such filter dialog adds a lot of value and flexibility to the reports.
